We employed general builder Dave Robbins to carry out our kitchen extension, downstairs toilet installation, hallway ceiling plastering and first fit finish in the kitchen. This work required the removal of structural walls, implementation of an RSJ, and a new roof being fitted. It involved work on a shared party wall and communication with and adherence to local council building regulations.
We were extremely happy with the finished product and manner of working throughout. Dave was reliable, on time, happy to explain and answer questions about the process and to adapt plans as we saw fit. The other tradespeople he brought in on the job I.e. carpenter, window fitter, iron work were all of good standard and extremely competent. Dave’s work ethic throughout was exemplary as was his tidiness and sense of humour. Dave communication with the Local Council building regs inspector was good, as was his invoicing and paperwork.
Dave was always keen for us to suffer as little disruption as possible, and this work was being carried out whilst we had a new baby being born. Dave was extremely careful to impact on our family life as little as possible, and always gave us advance warning of when he would be making excessive noise or mess, in order for us to plan around this.
We would certainly employ Dave again in the future without hesitation.
